There are some brilliantly creative and
talented people out there in the world. Some of these skillful creatives
use their crafting know-how to forge amazing Metal Gear Solid artwork, increasing their awesomeness to ever-greater heights. Step forward Rohby, one such person.
Rohby makes superb, stylistic figurines of various well-known characters, mechs, vehicles and more. It was his Metal Gear Solid “YoungGUNZ” figures
that caught out attention; he’s made a Solid Snake, Revolver Ocelot, a
SpetzNaz Soldier and, most recently, Old Snake. Each figure oozes
character, and they’d be right at home alongside any official Metal Gear
collection!
You’re pretty good!
Of course, Rohby puts a lot of hard work into designing and making a
figure. He told us that each piece takes about a day’s work to cast and
paint, and that’s not taking into account the designing, the
material-buying and every other pre-production process! You can get an
idea of the whole process by watching the below video:
Follow that figure-maker!
You can keep up-to-date on Rohby’s latest projects by checking out his Flickr page - as you can see, he makes many more models beyond the Metal Gear ones mentioned! Check out his website too at www.tinyimports.com, which hosts more details about his model-making, with the “Blohg” section a good way to read up on his past projects.
We’ve collected together lots of Rohby’s great Metal Gear Solid model pics in the gallery below. Go – absorb their awesomeness!
